I would do one of two things:
1. Sock him in the face and leave him
2. Leave him. He still has feelings for her. Obviously, if she got away, he would take her back if she came back in his life.

If I was in your position I'd just ask him about it and be upset. Let him explain and then you can decide whether you feel like you want to stay with him or if you feel 'second best' and want to leave.

Sounds like hes ben servicing your mum dump him unless you think three in a bed is ok just hope your dad doesn't come home and catch you at it though

So he still burns a candle for her, depends how they are with each other, sounds like he put her through the mill and now he is coming to terms with sorrow he has inflicted on himself.
Any chance they might get back?
I'd feel a bit crappy, but if there was a chance for someone to get back as a family unit with themselves and there kids then I'd cut my losses and move on, don't be second best.

He is just giving an opinion about how he sees someone. I'm sure when you and your girls are together you comment on guys but it does not mean you want to be with them. He must maintain a decent relationship with her for the benefit of his son. Not trying to be a bi*@ch I think he should dump you and marry her so the son can have a family.
