I'm 14 and my mom does shit like that. She's not overprotective at all, she's just nosy. She would always go on my phone saying her's was dead and she needed to make a call and then she would TEXT MY BOYFRIEND!! Asking him "how far we've gone".... I nearly killed her. Now I have little ways of hiding everything from her. Like I got one of those pay as you go phones that are pretty cheap and didn't tell her about it and just stopped using my other phone all together and then I told her I deleted my facebook even though really I just blocked her

Your mom has every right to do so. Just saying.

Nope luckily my mom doesnt want to know anything. She knocks on my door all the time, and she never goes through my stuff. EVER! Shes a 10. Smile Tongue.
--- sorry about your mom. D:

My mom has respect for my privacy. She never knocks on my door, though. I don't really care if she does or not.

I'm 19.

I'd give her an 8. She knows not to come to my door when it's closed unless food is being offered to me. She would be a 10 but she has a habit of taking my phone and reading my texts..

Also I'm 16.

I'm 15 and 6.

i used to shove a piece of wood from an old shelf in between the door and the wall when i wanted privacy inside the house. for the most part though i did not expect privacy as none was assumed. there was at times 8 people living in that house, it was a rare thing to even get to use the toilet without someone asking if you were done yet or shoving you off it before you were done because they had to go. i cried for joy when my dad put in a second toilet. so when even that sort of privacy is unheard of someone not knocking on your bedroom door is nothing.
also something i learned from living in a household like that was that you never wrote anything down, never left any evidence of anything, that you did not want anyone knowing about. diaries were kept in hidden places if kept at all, even then they were written in code with anything incriminating left out entirely. not even a reference.

Yes! Definitely a 10. She never knocks.
It makes me mad when she barges in really fast and loud. Not because I'm doing anything bad, just because it scares me half to death!
