I don't agree. Republican don't really want to spend less. You will notice that they are not spending less on things like runaway military expenditures, oil subsidies, farm subsidies etc. They only want to spend less on the programs that benefit average Americans, like education and social programs.
This budget fight is not about spending less it is about what we spend it on.
