If they are, they are fads that have left my life untouched. I am bothered not by either of them.

I thin Facebook will stay. Twitter will go.

They have benefitted my life-NOW I CAN STALK PEOPLE IN THE COMFORT OF MY OWN HOME! Big Grin

I thought Twitter was on the way out but you still see people clinging on to it because celebrities use it.

I think Facebook could be here to stay because it helps people find long lost school buddies and stuff like that. But, no, I don't revolve my life around those things like some - ie: I had breakfast this morning consisting of eggs and ham and now I'm going to take a dump...

Yes definitely, but there'll be other networking sites that will replace them, online networking isn't a fad, it's here to stay

I think it'll be here for awhile until someone invent something better.

They will stay as you have older people that use them. I am Famous for the bald dog that I cared for at the Cedar Rapids, Iowa Animal Shelter, Itchy.I have had some Incredible people that befriended me.And I now know people the world over, So it's nice , If you don't get stupid. You probably know about Yahoo Answers? That's been going since january 2006, and it's still going strong. Google closed their answers site as they said they had all the answers to everything you could ever ask, Really?

I can't get into twitter....,I'm not into celebrity culture (some times I feel like I'm the only one on the planet who honestly couldn't care less what people I don't know and never met are doing), so I'm more into facebook, where i interact with people I actually know.

I think facebook is going to turn into a massive advertisement, marketing tool, extremely soon, some could argue it already has, but to answer your question, it is a fad..it maybe has another few years left in it before something else takes over.

its affected my life cause I found loads of old friends on it, or I keep in better contact with people on a daily basis. I also had a few reunions with old pals i hadn't seen in 10 years, or so, which was great. Like everything, its only affects you to the level you allow it to.. but I will admit, I am slightly addicted to fb, but only because so many of my friends and family are on it all the time.
