- Constantin - 01-16-2013 12:16 PM Capitalism is the economic system in which investment in or wealth is controlled by individuals and/or corporations as opposed to cooperative systems where the state is in control. But Capitalism itself has been successful under dictatorships like the old monarchies of Europe and is very successful in the socialist Scandinavian Countries. The reality is that even hard core Communist Countries like China know how to exploit the capitalist system. The irony is that most successful corporations are structured like a cooperative system with share holders(the state) and a Politburo (the board of directors). If you believe that Corporations or Wall street actually dictate or dominate our economy then we must be a capitalist democracy. - Quietscarf753 - 01-16-2013 12:16 PM I'll try: Pinochet Hitler Batista Duvalier Mugabe Hirohito Takugawa Hu Jing Tao Jiang Zemin Deng Xiaoping Musharraf Zai Ul-Haq King Fahd Saddam Hussein Nicholas the Great Catherine the Great Vladimir Putin George Papadopoulos Park Chung-hee ...there's too many. - Hossein - 01-16-2013 12:16 PM capitalist system can be divided into three groups:the advanced capitalism or old established capitalism as US ,England,...Transiting economy as Russia and China .Developing world. In the first group we see a seemingly democracy ,people vote but to the represntative of capitalsts, but in the second and third groups we see the naked face of the capitalist dictatorships. - Le Socialiste - 01-16-2013 12:16 PM Russia Ukraine U.S.A.
