I prefer the "golden rule" of Sonny Barger, former president of Hells Angels MC:

"Treat me good and I'll treat you better, treat me bad and I'll treat you worse."

Jesus followed Jewish, and local law. He wasn't out for a party. I could blow your mind and tell you a theory about him, and Barabbas that would blow your mind if you like.

Why didn't Gary Johnson win, then?

Jesus said "my kingdom is not of this world". In other words, he didn't care about politics. Not the politics of this world, anyway. There are more important things.

Jesus was a freedom fighter which would make him a Classic Liberal, not a neoliberal, but does that mean he would fit in with the American libertarian movement today? To answer that we need to take a look at the Economic Policies that Jesus supported, namely with taxes.

Mark 12:14 - 12:17
They came to him and said, "Teacher, we know you are a man of integrity. You aren't swayed by men, because you pay no attention to who they are; but you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not? Should we pay or shouldn't we?" But Jesus knew their hypocrisy. "Why are you trying to trap me?" he asked. "Bring me a denarius and let me look at it." They brought the coin, and he asked them, "Whose portrait is this? And whose inscription?" "Caesar's," they replied. Then Jesus said to them, "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's." And they were amazed at him.

In conclusion, Jesus was a liberal (NOT a neoliberal/Democrat) and he was in favour of taxes, which would place him square in the Green Party.

The biblical Jesus was the OPPOSITE of libertarian. He was described as being a communalist, and in the book of Acts it describes how the apostles lived together in a communalist arrangement. He taught wealth redistribution from the wealthy to the poor. He told his apostles to heal, but to not accept payments for the healings. He told the people to turn against the free enterprise money changers in the temple. He might be considered the first communist.

Jesus was not political and in fact said that we should obey the laws and our government regardless if we believed in them. he did however have a problem with capitlism so would be very against corperations if not for the anti-religions stance of socialism it would be far more suited to Jesus.
