New parents are weird. All the hormones and stuff. It pushes them right off the deep end.

I think that's disgusting. It's bad enough that social-networking sites are turning otherwise social people into zombies. Now kids are getting an account straight out of the womb. Only my opinion of course, but I doubt anyone over the age of 30 would disagree much.

GOOD QUESTION!

In a way, the practice sounds rather up to date. The parents can record messages from people to their child and print them out for a scrap book or something. They would probably only allow certain friends and relatives to participate, anyway ( if they are smart )

Facebook and other social networks are meant, in part, to numb people to the idea of having personal privacy anyway, so those parents are just moving their child along more quickly towards the norm of the future.

PERSONALLY, I would never create a page for my child. They might end up being a very private person and have wished that I hadnt done that. Thank you for asking.
