When i am on my smartphone in the Facebook app do people see that little green dot next to my name or the picture of the phone or nothing at all and if so can i hide when i am online?

You can hide being online when you turn off your chat from smartphone or Facebook app. If you are online and your chat option is turned on, then your friends will see that green sign appearing next to your name

if your Chat is On People Can See if your Online if you Are Signed into Facebook on your Phone to Hide your Self From Being Online you have to Turn your Chat Off

Yes! its easy you can hide yourself, if you don't want people to see you online. just click on chat setting and turn off chat. even you can turn off your chat only for those friends you don't want to chat with.

Yes you can hide your self by turn off your chat for all your friends or for a perticular person.

Whenever I log-on to Facebook, a green button is seen next to my name on the chat list of some friends, even though I have set my chat advanced settings to 'turn off chat'. I use Facebook on my laptop only. I had once (long back) logged on to FB from an android device and later logged-out. Recently I even changed my password on FB. After the process of changing password, I was asked whether I wanted to log out of all devices. I replied yes. Still the my problem persists. I dont want to be seen online by any of my friends
