I want to edit my settings so people can not search me by name on Facebook. However, under privacy settings it only gives me the option to stop people from looking me up by my email and phone number. It also gives me the option to stop search engines from linking my timeline.
under the privacy settings section it shows "Who can look me up" there is missing the option "Who can look you up by name "

goto privacy setting
then
Who can look me up?
Who can look you up using the email address or phone number you provided? tick Everyone
it will work
