How to market my music to a larger audience? - Jackson - 02-19-2014 12:47 PM

I'm an amateur Mashup artist/DJ and i'm currently working on my album which contains a lot of EDM/Dance songs mashed with pop songs sort of like 3Lau. I'm currenty a college student at Ball State University in Indiana. My question is how can i market my music to a larger audience other than my twitter followers and Facebook friends.

YouTube, or even Myspace. It's making a comeback, so there may be new people, or old faithful people. It's more focused on entertainment than social networking now. Otherwise, you could burn some CDs and give them away on campus or see if you could give some to a local music store or something just to put out somewhere where people may pick it up if it were free, and include your websites' links so they can find you there. Update your websites often too. Post clever things or just make sure there is a post, because people will see you more and be more likely to go to your page if you're active on it.
