when i get a instagram notification on my iPhone and open it it doesn't show tha notification at all. This is the second time.

Nothing is wrong. This has happened with me. My experience with such incident is that the page, say followers or likes, gets updated(more followers or likes) after the notification, then the earlier notification holds no weight.
Hence, you won't see the exact incident of what caused the notification. This maybe due to the incidents occurring between the time the notification is generated by the server and the time your phone has retrieved it. Also consider the time taken by you to click on the notification.
