Are advocates of free-market capitalism by nature social darwinist? - Strasser101 - 10-14-2012 05:16 PM

Promoting the supremacy of the bourgeois on the basis of "strength" and "cunning" and seeing the working class as 'stupid' 'uneducated' 'weak'.

Advocates of free-market capitalism are advocates of freedom. If you remove the freedom to fail, you also remove the freedom to succeed to your potential. Humans have the right to pursue happiness, but there is no guarantee you will achieve it.

Yes, I am. If you are stupid, you should not reproduce. Look around, we are surrounded by morons. If you believe we live in a capitalistic society with all the government regulations in place, I would include you in that moronic category. I fervently wish we had a free market system somewhere on this planet to show the futility of regulations, but there are not any.

Do you truly want your entire life ruled by someone else? Why? I find that repugnant.

Seems like free-market capitalism will lead to something like skynet, in which the financial robots (corporations) win. People lose, and that does not seem to be social.

A common misconception is that what exists in the USA today, is actually free market capitalism. It is not.

You don't need to read somebody else's ideas to examine the human marketplace, just sit and think for awhile about civilization and what happens when people come to live together in groups. That's where the free market originated, and capitalism is just another word for:

.................... using your own resources to increase your own resources.

Now, if someone believes that such a pursuit is morally wrong, then we have a fundamental disagreement about the birth rights of every human being on earth. I say that every last human being on the planet has a right to pursue productive happiness using their own capital.

Sooner or later, with unions dwindling, and globalization exporting jobs, people are going to wake up to the fact that they cannot depend on jobs being provided for them and are going to have to become more self sufficient like in the 40's.

I agree. Free Market Capitalists are Social Darwinists. The adapt or die scheme fits perfectly in to the free market approach.

You just want to vilify the successful. The working class is our boss, because they buy our products as are the other successful people. When we do something stupid, then you leave us with no work and inventory and maybe bankruptcy. No one is forced to buy anything until Obama Care goes into effect.

The successful are only there because they follow the wishes of the masses.
