How do you have privacy in the digital age? - Fireworks - 02-19-2014 12:50 PM I recently moved to a new city, at our old house we had a land-line but at our new place we have chosen to use prepaid phones and skype. I used to belong to tons of reward programs both free and paid and when we moved I didn't update our info. I used optoutprescreen.com to get off credit card offers, I used the DMAchoice.org website to get off mailing offers. I have twitter, linked in, and an anonymous blog but I self-censor and never post anything private. I did put my settings to friends/contacts only but even still I am very careful about what I put on there, even what I write on my anonymous blog. Nothing personal ever goes on there. I only give out my prepaid phone # to friends, immediate family, my employer, and to my bank. For everything else we just use our skype #.
