Facebook dosen't cost anything. It's a non-profitable company which enables you to sign up for free, chat to anyone, play games etc. You just have to register your details for e.g., name, email etc and you are in to Face book.

Facebook costs just as much as any data usage on your phone would cost. Facebook is nothing special, it's just data back and forth on the network just like browsing the web. You will be charged your regular data rate.

It will eat at your balance. Considering the absorbing nature of social utilities, you might use up more data than you think you are, so be careful. If you are prepaid, I suggest don't use a service like Facebook at all. It's way too easy to lose track of your data usage.

And 'bob', Facebook is a for-profit company that makes money by selling advertising facilities. It is completely free for users because, for one, they understand the power of free on the internet; and two, revenue generated from the advertisements cover their operating expenses.
