Getting past firewalls on iPod touch apps (at school)? - Angel Bear - 02-19-2014 12:50 PM

Okay! So I'm just on my iPod at school one day, alright? And I got an Instagram notification! I went on the app and everything wouldn't load. I've asked some of my friends that have Instagram, and they said that they had the same problem! So I've concluded that the dumb school has put up a firewall! I'm no computer expert, but I've been reading up on it, but there is only answers for school computers! Mind you that I found out the school's wifi password through friends and that is the network that I am using! Please help me and no "OH THAT'S ILLEAGLE!! U CANNOTE GET PAST THERT!! YOU WHELL GET ARRERESTED!!!!!" Please none of that! I need good, educated answers, please! THANKS GUISE!!

Well thing is, it depends on how deeply the site is blocked in the main system, point is

1.check if the content you are trying to view are not restricted in the user policy.
2.if they have just blocked the site name like instagram.com , you can just bypass it by opening a long string site name from other sources
3.opt for third party vpn services that offer an alternate mode for viewing blocked sites

Free services::
hidemyass.com , Youhide.com , Proxy4free.com , Anonymouse.org , Anonymizer.com , Zend2.com , Unblocked.org , The-cloak.com , Surf24h.com ....etc

There's a catch your data can or maybe passed through different servers where others can view what you are looking to, so unless you are worried about your stuff being passed through unknown entities you are good to go.

There are paid services too... who claim to be completely "unaware" of the user content but it can be passed.
