They are moving their European operations from the UK to Ireland. Yahoo has had operations in Ireland for years. They are just moving more staff over, probably for tax reasons as Facebook and Google have also moved parts of their operations to Ireland for tax reasons.

You don't have to do anything. The only difference is that the privacy policy will now fall under Irish rather than UK law. If you do not agree to Irish privacy laws, then you have to close your account
But 99.99% of people won't have any issues and nothing at all will change with your account. You don't have to do anything

BUT be careful - there are fake emails going around saying you have to click on a link to keep your account, or you need to verify your password, etc. These are NOT from Yahoo and are phishing scams to hack your account. The real email from Yahoo was for information only

The real email is from @email.yahoo-inc.com
