We don't talk a lot and he doesn't like me bc he told me he wants to be friends with no strings attached, but he messages me and got mad at me for blocking him on Instagram? He started freaking out like I was some important person when I'm some low life loser lol

He either really does like you more then he puts on or he just likes the attention you give him because he knows you have a crush on him so the fact that he knows you're not looking at his profile, thinking about him bothers him.

If he's your crush don't block him but then again even if he doesn't like you no one wishes to be blocked that's why he probably flipped
