On our organization's non-profit facebook page we want to list recommended movies, books, songs, etc. Is there a way we can show these as interests for our facebook page, or some app I can use so our fans can refer back to our recommendations?

Create a Facebook fan page, its a page were people could like your page. Then after this is done you could promote this page to your friends. Since you already have a group, ask your other members to promote your fan page.
A fan page is like an area were people with the same interest come to gather. Do these and you'll have a a venue where you can share your recommendations, etc.
