If you are analysing any piece of work, start with the details of the picture,title/composition,medium, date, artist etc.Looks like a loose style of graphite crosshatching.Female portrait depicting a somewhat 1920's era.Could be from a poster advertising social event/music/drama/theatre.You can identify from the costume,womans fine features,necklace,hat.Possibly middle class.
