Question about Twitter? - Alex - 10-14-2012 07:36 PM

Ok, I don't know much about Twitter so I have a few questions.

When I visit someone's twitter page, is it only that person's tweets, or do other people's tweets about that person show up on there as well?

And what does it mean when certain messages have " @*username* " in it? For example:

"@JWCarlson OMG THAT CUTE GUY FROM MATH CLASS ASKED ME OUT"

What does "the @JWCarlson mean"?

The tweets are from the persons e is 'following'.
@username means that the tweet is concerned with the person 'username'. Say he has twitted.

you will usually see only their stuff that they have tweated, and @<name> is meaning someone is talking to that other person via a tweet - @ = AT. Example your email with the @ means youATyahoo.com as it is a short hand at saying "My email is <whatever your choose for your username/emailname>AT yahoo.com."
