How can I market my website? - Joanna@KidsCompass - 02-20-2014 07:24 PM

hi!

I have a new website that reviews children's fiction. The site is aimed at parents and other adults rather than the kids themselves. We have a great looking site, lots of relevant content, we get advance copies of books from publishers, so we think we have a lot to offer! The big problem is spreading the word. Do you have any ideas about how I can best market the website? We don't have a lot of money to put into it just yet, but we do have a lot of time!

Thanks for any help.
I apologise, its in my name which I thought would show.

If you would have wrote the site's name here you would have already spread the word.

Yeah congrats it looks great. A little dark though but okay. Adwords google is good and I think you can get results with like £35 a month. Also try an affliate yourself on a well known site linked to what you do which would be amazon, so you could provide a link to buy the book on amazon and if they buy it you get some money also.

Try writing a free press release, there are more sites out there you can do a search for free press release and find more sites. I use this one if it helps. http://www.prlog.org/

Your site is really nice Keep up the good work.
You need to remember to post with the complete url.

One of the easiest way to get traffic to your site is through online communities like Facebook and Twitter. You can directly get traffic by simply adding your link, and the more friends/followers you have the better off for you!

Another idea is to contact your local schools, and have them promote your site on their own websites, through newsletters, and that sort of thing.

You can also attend tradeshows, school fairs, etc, and set up a table that tells people what you do and offer them your website!

Great idea!
