What is the best way to earn money from working at home or working online? Any good sites to apply at? I specialize in marketing and web development so I'm really good at promoting and writing....no degree, just years of experience. The recession is a killer so it would be nice to work from home.

work from home can be great if you have your own business like i do, but if you are looking for anything online. then you have to understand its a huge bad gamble

Because you're good at marketing and web development, I would recommend starting your own web development or social media consulting firm. Do some small projects for friends, family and non-profits, and build yourself a website, and then start offering your services to others. Keep your rates low at first (start around $20/hour), and you can build them up over time.
Sites like elance.com, odesk.com, rentacoder.com can be ways to find work if you don't want to market your own services. You can also use search.twitter.com to find people looking for your services.
