Update 3.5 for iPhone Facebook App not working.? - dmh1314 - 02-20-2014 09:23 PM

I just updated the Facebook app for my iPhone 4. Everything is updated like the streamlining of profiles and such but the major update, the ability to tag friends in status updates is not there. There is no bar that allows me to do that. Is anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?
I have Verizon so my latest update is 4.2.10. I have tried restarting the phone, uninstalling and reinstalling the app but to no avail. My roommate has the exact same phone. iPhone 4 with Verizon and his update went through fine. It has the new status bar.
Nope. I did the mini tour too thinking that might do it but still nothing.
So my Facebook just randomly updated by itself so I don't know what the problem was but it's fixed now. I have the bar and everything. Things for the help though

The same thing is happening to me too. I updated to v3.5 and it's like the app half-updated. I still have the old status update screen. Can't tag or anything. I have a iPhone 4.

UPDATE:
My firmware is 4.3.5 on iPhone 4. Same thing is still happening. Tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it but nothing I do works.

UPDATE 2:
No joke, the new status update page is now on my facebook app. Didn't try and uninstall or anything it just started working. I think it is connected to the facebook website adding new features. I noticed the new status bar on the website was out so i looked at my app and there it was.

I had the same problem. Log in to Facebook on your computer, take the mini "tour" of new features (similar to the new ones that you'll be seeing on your phone) then try your iPhone again. Worked perfectly for me. Hope that helps!
