Social Media sites that entrepreneurs and businesses should be on? - Janie - 02-21-2014 01:50 PM

I own a small business and want to start using social media to advertise myself and market my products. I'm already on Twitter and Facebook, but are there others? Can you list some social networking sites and explain what they are? Thank you much!

linked in is the professional network, but go easy on the "advertising" - its about networking not a forum for you to bulk advertise

Janie it really depends on what field of business you are in. Don't get me wrong social medias great but for some businesses social media is useless. That being said here's a small list of social networks that could help you grow your business

Linkedin a social networking site for business professionals, great place to network
Pinterest a picture sharing site with a huge female base.
Reddit
Digg
Tapiture
Delicious
My Space

This is just a list of some of the biggest.
