Somehow I started following someone on Facebook. I never clicked to follow them, but I saw a post from them and we aren't friends. When I checked sure enough I was following them.
Will it notify the person that I started following them then subsequently stopped?

No, They don't notify them but it shows up on their Timeline under Followers.
