I want to stop my Facebook profile showing up if someone searches for it using my email address? - NAeeM - 02-22-2014 08:21 AM

Is there anyway to change the privacy settings on Facebook to stop your profile showing up if someone searches for it using your email address that you have associated with the account?

I remember seeing it some time ago before the redesign and privacy page changed.

There's a very good guide to Facebook settings here:

Here's the settings page that you need:

However I've found that even though I've made my facebook profile unsearchable by search engines it still gets picked up by some custom Facebook API browsers that have been created by a few clever people but I won't be posting links to them for obvious reasons.
