when I have my phone logged into facebook, It says on "On mobile" and it has the green dot. and when I turn my phone off, it does the phone icon and a number,. Why dont I ever get just the phone icon, even when I'm not using facebook on the phone, im "Online"

I use my phone as a phone, and FB on a computer? Smart phones are not that smart and may lack resources, just like a computer?
