Is it possible to change up the 9 friends that show up on the Facebook Timeline? If so, how?

To create a new custom list:
Go to the timeline of a friend you want to add to a new list
On their cover photo, clickFriends in the lower-right corner
Click Add to another list... from the menu that appears
Scroll down and click + New List
Type in a name for the new list and hit enter/return
The new list will now be an option when you add friends to lists.
