Oookaayy so me and my sister have an lg rumor
touch.. And under the "social networks" option in the
main menu it has a facebook thing.. When i choose it,
it sends me to the actual site on the phone's
crappy web browser (not opera mini which i use) but when
my sis uses the facebook thing it opens up a facebook
app... Anyone know how i can get the app thing

Originally, Virgin Mobile used a Facebook app, which they discontinued. There is no way to get it that I am aware of. Just put facebook on your Opera speed dial and ignore the Facebook icon in social networks.
Your sister must have got the phone before you? Virgin Mobile should have just kept the app in my opinion.
The best mobile interface for Facebook is touch.facebook.com.
