you can't actually delete it but you can deactivate it.
you'll find the option under Account

If you deactivate your account from the "Deactivate Account" section on the Account page, your profile and all information associated with it are immediately made inaccessible to other Facebook users. What this means is that you effectively disappear from the Facebook service. you cant delete it you can just deactivate it then dont log in again lol its in account somewere

You can't DELETE it, you can DEACTIVATE It though.
Settings > Account Settings > Deactivate > then enter why and BAM(: x

you can delete account last forever or just deactivate it & reactivate it again
