Hi,
Just recently, I have noticed my Facebook account is sending friend requests to random strangers. I am unable to resolve this issue and I am unable to get in touch with Facebook or use their help pages to figure out a resolution. (Their help pages are useless)
Actions I have taken so far:
1. I have removed authorization for all applications that I have logged in with Facebook in the past
2. I have changed my password several times to completely new ones (No re-using old passwords)
3. I have changed the email addresses associated with my Facebook account
4. My virus/malware scanners all say there is nothing wrong with my computer
Can anyone think of anything else I can do to try and stop this from happening? Only other option I see left is to completely delete my Facebook account and start over again but I much rather avoid doing so.

More details:
Some people are suggesting that I sent a friend request to a friend and that they changed their name.
I find it hard to believe that this is the case because why would my "friend" then take the time to edit the rest of their Facebook details? Why then would there be no mutual friends between the two of us?
Furthermore, I do not send friend requests on Facebook anymore. In fact I am deleting "friends" on a daily basis as I have not spoken to the person in real life for over 2 years.
In fact, the more I think about this question, the more I just want to delete my Facebook as it adds no value to my life.

Sounds like you tried everything...I would just suggest starting over, even though it will be a pain in the butt!

i think , u sent a reqest to a person u know and he/she changed his/her name and then accepted ur rqst ... and u thought that its some1 else ...

This question is tough. I have never heard of a Facebook account sending out friend requests on its own before, nor have I ever heard of malware that does this.
Have you ever logged on to an outside computer and forgot to log off? Because someone may have just sent out a bunch of random friend requests a long time ago on your account, and only now the people who were requested are just accepting it. There are people out there with tons of friend request who will add just about anybody even if they don't know them.
That's the only thing I can think of.
