In order to get real followers, you must post daily and use hashtags. But your posts have to interest a wide variety of people.
Also, link your Twitter with your Facebook and Instagram.
The problem with wanting followers is that you will probably be neglecting your real social life. This shouldn't be about followers...it should be about what you enjoy. In other words, don't stress that you aren't getting a lot of followers on any social media. You need to put more emphasis on your real life.
