Spotify help?? 10 points best answer?!? - gurlygurl - 02-23-2014 09:55 PM

Ugh this is a long story so just bare with me.
I signed in to my spotify account on a different laptop, and it basically treated me like i was a new user. It said I had no playlists, no starred playlists, no followers, no nothing. It asked me if i wanted to use facebook as a sign in thing, and asked if i was new to spotify. So I went back on my original laptop and tried to log in again and it did the same thing.
So I tried almost everything to see if i could recover anything, but I just kept running into dead ends. I went on the spotify page to see if i could find something, but it keeps asking for my spotify username, so i put in the numbers whatever( because im not allowed to use my email?) but i cant find my password. Every time it asks for my username to reset my password, it says there is no email to send a recovery password to. Thats one of my main problems,
Another thing I found weird is when I went on my friends profile and clicked her followers, I noticed that my real spotify account was there. All of my playlists were there, etc, (mind you im logged in on the same spotify account, its just the fact that none of my playlists are coming up and its telling me i have no followers and what not.)

i know its confusing but im kind of just looking for an answer as to if im able to recover my old account or not, considering it still exists i just cant get to it... ?

Someone probably cleared your browsing history without you knowing. If you're so eager to get everything back, you can download softwares that will help you recover files (cache history as well as the pc deleted files). Also the fact that your stuff is still over your friend's PC is likely caused by the fact that she didn't refresh the page or close it, yet.

My best guess would be to go to your friend's account and retrieve your account there. Maybe if you transfer that information to a new account. I don't think that there's any other way to recover your old account back though, but if you just transfer it to a new account, then it will be like nothing has changed at all. Or you may want to try to open your account at something more public, such as library computers. Perhaps it's your laptop that's the problem. I'm sorry, but I'm just giving ideas.
