There is a facebook user who is not on my friend list. I can't reply to any of our chat conversations however I am able to still view their comments on my posts. The link won't work when I click their name. I know it's a possibility that I was blocked, however from my experience when someone blocks me I can't even see their previous comments on my posts. I can't search for them in the search box either. Is there another possible reason why they could not be on my friend list other than them blocking me?

they have deactivated their facebook account.

They could be following you. Or your privacy settings are very open to others.

maybe the coversation has been muted or the account may have been deactivated.
