How would I conduct a study on people's perceptions of self-help websites? - silentnoise - 02-24-2014 02:12 PM

I'm interested in researching the perceptions of those who use self-help websites, i.e. I want to understand what motivates a person to buy a particular product or to move on and look someplace else.

Hi Silentnoise,

Perhaps from a self directed learning angle, to confirm or refute a theory ?

That's actually Marketing, but Psychology specifically

Person Centred Counselling is similar with rapport.

Start a blog, or a facebook page. If you start a facebook page, you can add the different websites that also have facebook pages, add people that use self help techniques and continue to promote your page so people will find it easily. Once you have enough people to conduct your survey you can make a facebook poll that will have people answer specific questions that you have by rating them.
