I used to surf facebook in order to find friends and old pals, but I would usually frequently check their profile, before sending a friend request. Does the person know that I frequently checked their profile even before I friended them, and do my current friends know to. My account is currently deactivated, so can they still access it?

no, they cant, and it doesnt matter if you deactivate your account or not, there is no way for them to know

No, they have no way of knowing that you looked at their profile. It doesn't make any difference if you deactivate your account or not.
