I have a samsung galaxy discover and I'm trying to sync it with my facebook account but it won't sync even though the "sync now" option is available. But my phone is synced with my google account and my facebook app is working properly...?

You won't really need to use the sync now feature if you get notifications for messages and updates/activity.
