I have 276 facebook friends. Is that above or below what you would consider average? A lot of my friends have a round 400, some even have like 1000. Although a couple only have like 100. I only friend people I know. How many do you have? What do you think about that number of friends? A little? A lot? Average? Thanks in advance! All answers appreciated!

Average. But that is not something to be ashamed about. Most of your friends have probably"friended" tens or hundreds of people that they didn't even know, whereas you are taking the safer, more dignified approach. At the end of the day it is only "quality" of friends, not "quantity" of friends that matter. Glad that I could help!

It depends who do you consider as a "friend". Better 300 friends that you know than 1000 strangers

On a study about a human social environment, a person can only friends with 150 person max. Which is, pretty much to keep in touch with all of 'em. I have 115 Facebook friends, I keep in touch with almost half of 'em, and yet, I think 50 friends in Facebook are more than enough.
