What is up with Twitter? - Psych!Flight - 02-24-2014 09:14 PM

I just don't get it. I stood by with Myspace, but I mean... just because Ashton promoted it on CNN suddenly the whole nation wants to "Tweet"?
I honestly don't believe it. Are teens actually buying into it, or is it just the adults thinking that people actually like it?

No; they all want to become Twits

i don't know man, its really lame. i mean really, myspace offers the exact same feature plus much more. twitter is just effing stupid

Well, people actually do like it. And what do you mean "buying into it"? Do you think Twitter is a scam?
I like it because I've been on Twitter since 2007, and it's the only social network that doesn't pile up complicated apps just to keep up with other sites like Myspace (which is hell on the internet) and Facebook (which confuses the crap out of me).
Twitter keeps me in contact with my friends, updates me on the news, and keeps me up to date with the few famous people I actually give a crap about. And every now and then, I even get to talk to those people.
And that's all I need, and want, in a social network.

I understand anyone who doesn't want to start using twitter now, though, because it's been blown out of proportion.

Just another teen fad, everyone is buying into it and it is pointless. Honestly i dont want to have to tell the whole world what im doing at every waking second of my life, for the whole world to view. there is no point in it at all

I had no idea Ashton had promoted it. When was this? Eh, doesn't matter Ashton can suck eggs for all I care. I had a friend who talked me into twitter and I am glad I did. I network with all kinds of people and have really been able to branch out and get my foot in the door on various projects. It's all about how an individuals use it.

Twitter isn't for everyone. I wouldn't spend time ragging on people for using any social network, why is it so many spend alot of time ragging on twitter? Isn't that a waste of your time and energy?
