You know, before we could get everything at a snap of our fingers but not be any smarter for it. Before Media went global in a couple seconds, rather then having to wait for the NEWS people still ignores. Before Politicians become Obsolete, before people relied on self-advertising. Before Myspace, Facebook, Yahoo! Answers, Formspring, Tumblr, Twitter, Touting, Reddit, ect.

Kinda lonely as a teen trying to hook up with guys in a rural area. The sad thing is that now I see my friends kids many of whom can only hook up via the net, they couldn't "pull" in a club or bar, they have no clue on how to approach someone cold face to face.

Electronic media has placed huge amounts of information at our fingertips and permits us to communicate cheaply around the world in ways my Grandparents could never have envisaged. But the downside it is it robbing us of basic social skills, and with companies like Google and Facebook it is stripping us of our privacy - worse it is removing the perception of privacy from the upcoming generations who see it as normal to post their whole life "on line".

I'm not convinced its a good bargain
