is this message i keep getting on Facebook real or chain mail? :
Attention all Facalezebook members.
Facebook is recently becoming very overpopulated,
There have been many members complaining that Facebook
is becoming very slow.Record shows that the reason is
that there are too many non-active Facebook members
And on the other side too many new Facebook members.
We will be sending this messages around to see if the
Members are active or not,If you're active please send
to 15 other users using Copy+Paste to show that you are active
Those who do not send this message within 2 weeks,
The user will be deleted without hesitation to create more space,
If Facebook is still overpopulated we kindly ask for donations but until then send this message to all your friends and make sure you send
this message to show me that your active and not deleted.

ive gotten this message at least 25 times and i dont even have that many friends (114). So whats up with it?
i sent it to a few people. i dont think its real though, especially with facebook being spelled wrong in the first sentance.

It is probably not real.
Send it to all 114 of your friends just to be sure though

Report it.
Look at all the grammatical errors and misspellings. It's obviously bogus - that is the first sign.
The second clue is this: realize that when you get chain letters in email ("please forward to 20 of your best friends") or on a site like Facebook, they are being used to collect random email addresses to be made into a large list for marketing. In other words, each address they receive will start getting a bunch of junk/spam mail. Don't ever answer any chain letter on the net!
So report it to Facebook, and delete it.

I am pretty sure this is just a scam.
They spelled facebook wrong on the first sentence!
I have not gotten this message yet.
I wouldn't worry about anything, its most likely a fake.

there seems to be a lot of tehre questions today
the answer is no.
he wouldn't make you copy and paste it to 15 people, he'd send it to everyone individually and ask you to reply probably within a month. There is also no way he could track if you sent it or not- that would be illegal.
and having more members does in no way slow it down. It's just some loser looking for attention from people he/she doesnt even know.
(Plus the spelling and punctuation are terrible.)
