I commented on a photo thinking it was a different one (I was scrolled down a bit so I could only see the comments and not the actual photo) but then deleted it right away. Will the person still get a notification that I commented or ...?

it all depends on their settings which you do not control

I'm unsure but I think if you delete it then the notification is taken away. I believe they get the notification but then when you delete the comment, thewhy no longer get the notification. I may be wrong though.
