I was just thinking it was about time for that rumor to get started again. I don't think Face Book is going to shut down anytime soon.

LOOOL overpopulation???

Websites crave for traffic and the more traffic there are the more money they make, and they will close for overpopulation? It has to be a rumor. Facebook is not poor enough not to be able to buy new hardware because their users are slowing it down.

If it is a rumor, then it is hard to know "who" actually started this, just like it is hard to find from who came a fake money. Because rumors spread faster than wind and before you know it, well, you KNOW it Smile

"from the creator of facebook" what a joke, it's clearly a scam.

LOL, the usual yearly facebook shutdown letter... This happens at least once a year and it never happens, its always a scam, there were loads of different types o shutdowns, including getting you to log in to Facebook on a particular day to ensure that your account won't get deleted etc.

Don't believe them unless It personally comes from Facebook.

Facebook relies on having an expanding user base. The more users there are, the more ad's are being viewed and the more revenue facebook makes.

There's also the rumors that facebook are selling private user information for cash.

Either way the more users they have, the more cash they generate.

The way facebook works is that the more you visit (and see ads) the more revenue you're generating for them.
