profile watcher / profile views on facebook? - lola_links - 02-25-2014 12:27 AM

I was pretty sure all these types of apps were scams, but I've heard some people now saying they work. Does something called **PROFILE WATCHER** really work? Is there anything now that lets people know who has visited their profile ?

There are no known "Profile watcher" or "profile views" on facebook. All of those are scam. You may see one or two advertisements in facebook telling you that there is a way to get the "Who viewed me" like in friendster but what it really wants is for you to join their group. Facebook didn't implement any features like that, and if there is one, facebook will tell you about it, but for now, there is none yet. So enjoy viewing your crush's profile. XD

It's a fake website, it says ' follow the instrcutions after you invite all your friends' this person is most likely being paid to get as many people as they can to join their group, dont do it, its a scam, when you press the instructions button it says there has been an error or it redirects you to the page you were just on, forget about it Smile

It's all bullshit under the rainbow river. Don't trust any of these groups, their sole purpose is to amass many people quickly through this "profile watcher". Joining/ becoming a fan might make you vulnerable to the creator's crap

It works ... in a sense that the application embeds a java code in your machine which may wreck havoc. For those who are a little bit more savvy, here's the piece of code:-

jelms=document.getElementById('friends').getElementsByTagName('li');for(var fid in elms){if(typeof elms[fid] === 'object'){fs.click(elms[fid]);}}

If you had joined the group, you can handle the following:-
1) "un-join" the group -- scroll down the page, on the left column near the end, there should be a "button box" displaying something like "leave group"

2) (this is a bit more teckky) at bottom left corner on FB, there's "application", click on it, then click on "edit applications". This will take you to a new page. If you can find "profile watcher" on the list, you can click on the "X" to remove it.

cheers !
