I think that social media has a positive benefit for people and businesses alike if used in the right way - where you build meaningful relationships and online communities that reflects your real aspirations or goals. Doing social media can help increase your influence online and make people aware of your cause or business -- helping you in your efforts offline. Major decisions and events around the world were drastically changed by a simple post made by someone -- that got viral, changing the way people make decisions today ( and this even includes presidential elections ).
