this random girl added me on facebook. I started talkin to her to see if i knew herand she said her mate added me and not herself. I liked one of her updated selfie profile pics even thought i dont know her. I unliked as i didnt want her to think i fancied her.

If you don't actually know her then it doesn't really matter.
To be honest, (I am a girl) guys have liked my selfies and I dont assume they fancy me.
Liking something doesnt mean you fancy someone.
Posting commments saying 'Awww So beautiful xoxoxox' does mean you fancy someone.
