I always told that everyone was going to get it by December 23rd. How come I don't have it while others do? I know for sure that those other people activated it... So that means that one will only have timeline if you activate it and not if Facebook does it because if that was the case we all would be having timeline by now...

Well, I don't have timeline yet so you are not the only one there!
I thought it was coming out in January but if it doesn't you might have to download it. I am not totally sure but I think it does come out in January. Also, to have it now they have to have downloaded it.
I am not looking forward to it if you have to have it though. My mum's friend said that the privacy setting is getting took away so that anyone can see your profile. I think this is wrong and if it does take the privacy setting away I am going to delete my Facebook. I am not sure if this is true.

Facebook is a mess as usual. They will make the Timeline mandatory, they just didn't made it yet..
If you want to get it now, it's easy, in 2 just clicks you will have the new timeline. Just follow this: http://www.vectorash.ro/how-to-enable-facebook-timeline-reloaded/

If you go on someone's profile who has the timeline feature enabled, there should be something along the top of the page giving you the option to 'learn more' about timeline.
It takes you to a page which shows you what your profile would look like with this feature where you can then enable it or keep your old profile until they force the changeover
It really is that easy
