How can I buy Snapchat shares? - Rob - 02-25-2014 03:29 PM

I am completely new to trading and the stockmarket. I've heard of a few people undertaking D.I.Y. trading so I was wondering what would be my best approach? I've had a quick google search, and looked through ASX and AORDS as I live in australia, but I haven't seen snapchat listed, nor found any sites that explicitly deal with share market trading besides westpac and a few other banks.

Thanks

You have to find the company that owns snap chat. And invest in them it will take lots of research and the patent company might be privately held. I would not invest in snapchat anyway. Remember words with friends and Farmville? Total fads that fade out. You want to invest in something with long term solidity. Even if you only plan on investing short term

Snapchat is privately held, so you cannot buy shares.

The founders supposedly turned down an offer of $3 billion from Facebook.
