can you not Preview your profile now? on what it will look like to people who are not friends? Because the whole facebook has changed

Facebook is always changing their stuff, once you get the hang of everything, they change it up again.

You can. If you go your profile in the upper right hand corner where your "edit profile" button is, there's a button next to it that says "view as." Facebook didn't get new privacy settings, they just made the settings easier to access. With a new layout of course. What would Facebook be without a new layout every other day.

you cannot use the "view my profile" function for people who are not friends of yours. this has never been possible.
You can, however, create a new facebook id and check out your actual facebook profile through there, so you can see how non-friends see your profile.
Yep, i expect in two years, another major privacy change on Facebook - they heave been keeping that cycle for a while now.
