Are facebook friends more casual than myspace friends? - 하나 - 02-26-2014 04:09 AM

I just got a facebook and it seems like everyone I know has the whole school as their friends as compared to myspace, where they only have people they talk to/friends/acquaintances as their friends. Is it more casual on facebook? I'm asking because I have like fifteen friends on there now. And they're all girls that I know. I don't want to seem creepy if I ask other guys and girls that I don't know as well at school to be my facebook friends. Is it typical to be friends with people from your school that you know but never talk to?

Yep, I reakon, all theses people added me on facebook that I hardly ever used to talk 2, but on myspace i only had my friends.
There are more people connected to facebook though.

I would assume the opposite -- I think MySpace friends are more casual than Facebook friends. It seems I'll get random friend requests on MySpace, but for the most part, everyone on Facebook is atleast someone I've known at some point in my life -- even though sometimes we literally just went to the same school or had the same class at some time.

If you want to add other people, go ahead. It's not creepy. It's creepy if you add completely random people you have no connections to whatsoever.

i actually thought it was the opposite...cuz on myspace i get tons of random requests, and on facebook i ddnt evenknw tht was possible.? HAHA. yeah on facebook i only have like 25 ppl (i just started like 3 days ago) and i know them all, but i know people with 450 facebook friends; and they DEFINITELY cant know them all...
so id say that it depends from person to person...
